Working from home sometimes presents the problem of needing a document from the office that you don't have on your personal computer. Using this kind of software would allow you to access and work with that document over the internet. Being able to do this can save time and money for both the company and their employees.


A similar situation can occur when visiting others, and you want to share a picture or some other document that is stored on your home computer. Before this type of software was available the only way to share these documents would be to return home and make copies.


Streaming media from your home computer to any other computer is also possible. Without having to make multiple copies of all of your files, you can take your movies and music with you anywhere. There are even apps that let you stream audio and video to your smart phone.


Remote pc software has been used for decades in governmental and educational institutions, but it is now starting to be found in consumer products. There seems to be no limit to the ways it can be used, but it is sure to simplify many of our daily tasks.
